Privacy Policy

Your privacy, by design

Effective date: January 1, 2026

Drive AQI was built to be as private as possible. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what data the app touches, why, and how you can control it — in line with Apple's App Store guidelines.

What data we collect

Drive AQI collects your current location (GPS coordinates) only while the app is in use or during an active drive session. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or any other personal information, and there is no account to create.

How your data is used

Your coordinates are used solely to fetch the live Air Quality Index for your area. Location is never stored, never logged, and never used for advertising. Drive AQI includes no analytics and no tracking of any kind.

Third parties who receive data

To retrieve air quality readings, your approximate coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) as part of the data request. Open-Meteo is the only third party involved. Review their practices in the Open-Meteo Privacy Policy at open-meteo.com/en/terms.

Retention and deletion

Nothing is retained. Your location exists only for the brief duration of each air quality request and is discarded immediately after. There is no server-side storage to delete. To revoke access at any time, simply disable Location Services for Drive AQI in iOS Settings.

Children's privacy

Drive AQI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices ever change, we will post the updated policy on this page along with a new effective date.
